HOW PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT HEALTHCARE REFORM...Prove It:

America...for Better? Or for Worse?
Healthcare Vigil Report:
September 2009: Here's the report as promised from the Healthcare Vigil of September 2, 2009, in Palm Springs, CA.

We met outside the offices of Rep. BonoMack (R)…a reliably Conservative Representative who always votes straight Party Line Republican.

She will NOT be voting for Healthcare Reform. Not in our lifetime.
We assembled for the 7 p.m. meeting, and for or a very small town in the Off Season, no less…we did fine…with 200 people.


You will note that some Big Signs mention...The Public Option! (more on THAT, below.) Most important (really)…as cars drove by our group….7 out of 10 HONKED FOR US!!!  Hey, Folks…that's CRITICAL...it tells you that average people…unaware of our Vigil...immediately and spontaneously REACTED IN OUR FAVOR!

Yeah, some Stone-Faces sped on by…let 'em. The VAST MAJORITY HONKED "YES!" (59,900,000 people voted for McCain just a few months ago…remember?)

A couple of Patriots stood across the street waving American Flags. Huh? And…one Big Bad Dude came wading into our group…complete with Camcorder (he stuck it right in my face)…wearing a black T with that grotesque White Ghoul Obamaface.

However…he was closely followed by not one but TWO Policeman…and later a 3rd showed up.

The mood of the Vigil was somber - in honor of Teddy…so when the Visitor was politely asked to move on...he eventually did…after mouthing some typical DittoHead Slogans…and taking videos of everyone he could.

I whipped out my Digital Camera and shot right back. Here he is. (Note that Ugly Obama Face on his T...half hidden by the Policeman's hands.)

As the picture shows...they let him walk through the crowd...but then gently edged him further down the sidewalk. So he didn't disrupt the Vigil or anything like that.

(Another Cop drove by and had nice words for one of the men in our group...who knew him. We knew we weren't going to be at the mercy of a gaggle of
Glenn Beck-inspired Thugs.)

In case you can't make out the grahic on the Intruder's T...here is what it actually looks like up close. Considering that I've taken certain graphic liberties with..."Past Presidents" myself (scroll to the very bottom of this page)...far be it from me to cry "Foul" over the depiction of our POTUS as this very sick...Joker.

Of all this Anti-Obama images we've seen so far, this one takes the cake. It's a Racist, Hateful Image...and it's become a Fav of the Right.

Instead of Blackface...we have Whiteface...complete with gruesome stitches...bloody-red lips...and darkened eyes that reek of putrefaction. Yikes!

Well...at least we didn't suffer a Bite-off-His-Finger Moment!

I know several of the Volunteers from the Primaries…and we were quite pleased to meet up again.

Note: When I got to Palm Springs last year...right during the Primaries…it was Pure HillaryLand…the Democratic Table on the street had a Hillary Figure…but no Obama Photo! So I painted one! Six feet 2" high! 

It was a big hit…until the Powers that Be here paid for an Official Obama Standing Figure after Obama took the lead. (Mine was MUCH more fun…and I have lots of Photos of people hugging it to have their photos taken with Obama, to prove it!)

The Vigil featured actual stories of Americans in distress because of the lack of Healthcare Coverage. It's painful to hear so MANY of them. And, I always wonder: Don't ANY RepUglyCons ever get SICK??? Or are they all covered by Gold Plated Insurance Coverage?????

When a van pulled up from the local TV station...I walked right over. And got a nice interview. That's partly because of Itsez...of course I have all the Facts on the tip of my tongue...when Obama is going to address the Joint Session of the House and Senate...all that good stuff.

I got in some good, tough licks for our side. The reporter turned to me afterwards and said:
"You did very well!" (I knew that! I get that response all the time...in New York and in California.
Doing Itsez 5 days a week helps, of course.)

Briefly...the MayoNews is reporting The Bad News...
so last night's Vigil probably won't get any coverage because
it was Peaceful...and Serious!

The Nasty Boy who showed up last night...didn't manage to create any fuss at all.
There were no fists flying and he wasn't Packin'. So? So...No News. Right?

Absolutely right...and WRONG.

Our people are The Faithful…and (so far)...are far too Sensible to be calling forPitchforks.
But they ARE confused by all the Delays and the OnAgainOffAgain Public Option. Huh?

Beneath the Calm Facade...these good people are definitely…WORRIED.
They just don't know how to voice their anxieties!!!

THIS IS A WAKEUP CALL TO AXELROD AND CO.: We're getting whacked, and if we don't start FIGHTING BACK…we're gonna LOSE!

That's why SO MUCH is at stake next Wednesday, September 9,
when Obama speaks to the Joint Session of Congress.
I know he CAN do what needs to be done...but...Will He?

Meanwhile, I urge you to take a moment to tell President Obama that we want
Real Healthcare Reform.
